Under the direction of the Public Works Department, McPherson traffic signals and signs are maintained by the Street Department. This includes nearly 4,500 signs and 18 signalized intersections. Installation and maintenance is completed in accordance with the federally approved Manual for Uniformed Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
Reporting a Problem
The public is instrumental in helping identify problems related to traffic signs and signals. To report in-operable or malfunctioning traffic lights, complete the Report A Concern form or call the Public Works Department at 620.245.2545. If you need to report a concern after normal office hours or during the weekend, contact the Law Enforcement Center at 620.245.1200.
