Burnin' Down Main Chili & Soup Cook-Off

Get excited for everyone’s favorite fall event in Downtown McPherson! We have lots of fun, family-friendly activities in the works again this year that are sure to not disappoint!

Public tasting of the soup and chili begins at 12 NOON and ends at around 2pm. A $5 wristband will get you a sample of each delicious entry and the opportunity to vote for your favorite Soup, Chili and best Team Spirit. Wristbands wearers can also sample multiple desserts after the Dessert Contest judging. Still hungry? We will have plenty of Wendy's Chili available on site (included in your wristband price) to top off those hunger pangs.

Free pumpkins are offered to the first 100 kids with paint available for decorating! Touch-A-Truck will be going on in the 100 block of East Marlin from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The kids can get an up-close and personal look at some of the emergency vehicles, farm equipment, and other cool vehicles they see every day! Free Face Painting 11:30-1:30pm. Live Music from 12:30-1:30 and 2:30-3:30. Corn Hole Tournament starts at 1pm. Pie Eating Contest starts at 1:30.

Save your wristband and head across the street to Delish and Noffy's for a Three Rings Tap Take-Over. For each Three Rings beer purchase, Noffy's and Delish will donate $1 toward the Plaza Remodel Project! Spend the afternoon having a cold brew and some great food.

Thinking of entering the contests? They are open to everyone! Entry forms and rules are posted below or feel free to contact Ann Engel, director of McPherson Main Street at 620-241-7430. The total prize package is over $2,600.
