City Announces Poster Winner

The poster design promotes Arbor Day 2018 and portrays a tree surrounded by animals.

The City of McPherson has selected Cora Pavlovich as the winner for the 2018 Arbor Day Poster Contest. Pavlovich is a fifth grader at Lincoln Elementary School. Pavlovich will be recognized by City Commissioners on Monday, April 24, and her classmates will participate in Arbor Day activities sponsored by the City Tree Board on Friday, April 27. Pavlovich will receive a $25 ChamberCheck prize and the privilege of her framed poster being hung in the City Municipal Center along with past winners. Her poster has also been submitted to the State of Kansas Arbor Day Poster Contest with results to be announced this spring.
