Planning Your Event

The City of McPherson would love to help host your event! 

Here is how our process works. 

  1. Fill out a City Event Planning Form
    1. This form helps us determine what your needs are for your event. Please give us as much detail as you can so we can help with your event. 
    2. If you are scheduling a run we ask that you work with our Police Department to set up a run route that is safe for all participants.  See approved 5k routes below. 
  2. Once we receive your form it will be reviewed by City officials to determine what needs need to be met.
  3. After the review of the event, the City Commission will approve or deny the event.  
    1. Items that will need approval through the City Commission: street closures, use of public facilities, department involvement (i.e. police escorts & security)
  4. If your event is approved we will work with your event and help in any way we can.
