The City of McPherson has developed through people and organizations creating vibrant relationships, producing collaboration leading to desired outcomes. Our City's future is very bright.

About the Mayor

Mayor Brown has been serving McPherson as mayor since April 2009. He was raised in Ohio, like General James Birdseye McPherson. He served with the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam and was combat wounded. He obtained his MBA from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. He is a member of South Central Kansas Economic Development District Board, Chairman of the Kansas Eastern Regional Insurance Trust, and former Executive Vice President, Farmer Alliance Mutual Insurance Company.
