McPHERSON — Several roadways within the City of McPherson are scheduled for chip sealing. Residents in these areas should be receiving notifications from contractor Circle C Paving at least a day prior to the process. The contractor is asking residents in those neighborhoods remove their vehicles by 7:30 a.m. the morning the street is scheduled for the process, and also remove any debris from the street and refrain from watering.
Chip seal is completed by distributing a thin layer of asphalt emulsion, then embedding finely graded aggregate. A fog seal then will be applied at a later date.
Those potentially affected will be notified via flyer with a start and end date. The contractor is scheduled to begin this process Monday, July 17.
